what does facebook actually use to gain popularity and the revenues each month. I know that facebook doesn’t get all their income by the advertisers paying them to have their advertisements up.I want to know how does its gain popularity and what program or tool they use to gain all that money.Do they use SEO ?

I have a website that is made for some other country and stored in a sub folder under my root folder.
Can any body help me how can i do submit the website under google for the seo perpose.

main website: sgs-infotech.com (already submitted to google from google web master tools)
sub website: sgs-infotech.com/de/ ( Now i want this also to be submitted in google.)

Please help me how to achieve this as i dont know much about seo of a sub domain or whatever this is called.
