Getting a good page rank is a difficult job but i will not say u cant do it it need time and patience a long time
so some steps )
1) ask you friends, people u know and other to put a small link on their website pointing to ur website or blog
remember a link from a website having page rank more than 5 is more valuable as compared to having a back link from 100 pages whose page rank is o or 1
2) Start posting your website link in social networking websites whether people can see it
ex: create a signature and always put it at last when u post soemthing some where.
3) Make your website search engine optimized always uses good keywords and title
4) submit your website or blog link to various directories like yahoo directory and the open directory
5) submit your website for indexing to google in webmaster tools
above all always post good original article in your blog and keep layout simple and effective
